FRIENDS AND ALUMNI OF CAL GRAD

The “FRIENDS and ALUMNI’” program is for men and women committed to the Gospel mandate of Jesus Christ and who want to support the evangelistic and teaching mission of CAL GRAD through annual financial gifts of $1000 or more. It is our hope that the alumni of CAL GRAD will also be our most dependable FRIENDS.

By God's grace the seminary has approximately 3,500 graduates over its existence since 1969. Today, our graduates are serving as Christian leaders in local churches, denominational administration, academic institutions, counseling centers, successful businesses, on the mission field, and even in high levels of political office. Few schools in S. California have provided so many Christian leaders into important positions and have maintained their unwavering Biblical standards to educate the mind and hearts of theological graduate students.

California Graduate School of Theology is an independent seminary and the school receives no direct financial support from any one denomination. We depend upon the voluntary gifts and offerings of individuals and supporting churches.

The FRIENDS and ALUMNI OF CAL GRAD program is key to our fund raising effort. The success of this program will allow the seminary to build a solid base of continuing faithful support so that we can keep our focus on our mission as well as expanding our programs.

For more information on how to become a FRIEND OF CAL GRAD, please call the school office at 714 636-1722 or email us at info@cgsot.edu

GENERAL

The General Financial Aid Fund provides need-based grants to students under specified conditions. The grants are awarded on an annual basis and applied equally each semester to tuition charges.

Grants from this fund are made through the Financial Aid Committee, which makes provisional awards to accepted students on a rolling basis. Students participating in our General Financial Aid Fund are expected to be active in their local church and participate in volunteer on-site work related experience with Cal Grad.

For more information on contributing to this fund, please call the school office at 714 636-1722 or email us at info@cgsot.edu.

INTERNATIONAL

Each year grants from the International Student Financial Aid Fund are available to international students who are committed to return to ministry in their own countries after study in the United States. Those who desire to donate to this need should designate their gift to the International Student Financial Aid Fund. For more information on contributing to this fund, please call the school office at 714 636-1722 or email us at info@cgsot.edu.

PIETY AND SACRED STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP

California Graduate School of Theology has established a Piety and Sacred Studies Scholarship. Students applying for this scholarship must give evidence of both integrity in Christian living and the ability to excel at sacred studies. The amount of the scholarship may be determined according to the student’s financial ability and will be given only to students enrolled full time. Any student who is approved for this scholarship will be expected to volunteer in local church ministry and participate in on-site volunteer-work experience at Cal Grad.

Those who desire to donate to this important scholarship should designate their gift to the Piety and Sacred Studies Scholarship. For more information on contributing to this scholarship, please call the school office at 714 636-1722 or email us at info@cgsot.edu.

Applicants are considered without regard to gender, national origin, or handicap. However, the school reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual who does not confess Christ as his or her personal Savior.

In requiring the B.A./B.S. degree or its equivalent for admission, the school recognizes the importance of a broad education as a foundation for specialized theological study. A bachelor's program that includes work in the major fields of humanity and science gives students the discipline and general information valuable for theological study and the work of the ministry. Adequate attention should be devoted to English grammar and composition, literature, speech, logic, and history.
